The first ever virtual reality roller coaster in North America is now open — and if the video is any indicator it’s worth a visit

Six Flags Over Texas just opened up the very first virtual reality roller coaster in North America. If you’ve ever wanted to actually feel like you’re moving through a video game, this is the ride for you.

Along with all the normal thrills of a roller coaster, riders experience an imaginary world featuring an air fight and sky scrapers. While riding the “fighter jet” there is no way to know when the next gut wrenching descent might come.
