CNN does little to restore the public’s trust in media with a segment about Donald Trump and stairs

There’s growing tension between President Trump and his administration, the media and the American people.

And a CNN segment from Wednesday might have reminded everyone why.

Anchors sought to explore why Trump clutched handrails so tightly when walking down the stairs.

They referenced a picture of Trump holding the hand of British Prime Minister Theresa May — an action which various British outlets asserted was the result of Trump’s supposed phobia of stairs.

While no such information has ever been officially confirmed, CNN still explored the story on a segment.

When the network asked a member of the White House whether or not Trump had a fear of stairs, they were reportedly told, “No offense, but that’s an absurd question.”
