Trump senior advisor Kellyanne Conway criticized the actress’ speech during a Monday morning segment of “FOX & Friends.”

Conway addressed the speech by speaking of a racial incident in Chicago that occurred the week before:

“I’m glad Meryl Streep has such a passion for the disabled, because I didn’t hear her weigh in and I didn’t hear her use her platform to give a shoutout to the mentally challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for half an hour by four young African-American adults who were screaming racial and anti-Trump expletives and forcing him to put his head in toilet water.”

Streep was then invited to comment on the incident.

Conway also said that Trump supposedly debunked his making fun of a disabled reporter, but it’s an incident that made Republicans and Democrats alike uncomfortable.
