This week, Fox News let go of longtime comptroller Judy Slater, according to The Wrap.

The Wrap reported that Slater was fired after a series of disparaging comments made towards African-American employees. Slater allegedly asked an African-American female employee if all her children had the same father, among other alleged verbal indiscretions.

Slater also allegedly complained about not being able to understand what her African-American colleagues were saying. In a statement to The Wrap, Fox News did not confirm the anecdotes about Slater’s behavior but did confirm that she was let go shortly after they learned of allegations of impropriety against her.

“We take any complaint of this nature very seriously and took the appropriate action in investigating and firing Ms. Slater within two weeks of this being brought to our attention. There is no place for abhorrent behavior like this at Fox News,” a spokesman said.
