White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer faced allegations of racism and sexism after he rudely demanded that veteran journalist April Ryan of the American Urban Radio Networks stop shaking her head.

The interaction sparked outrage from many, including the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View.”
While several of the ladies became upset that Spicer did not answer Ryan’s question, it was Sunny Hostin who criticized Spicer’s actions with the most passion.

“Would he have said that to a man?” she challenged. “Would he have said to a man, ‘Stop shaking your head?'”
Hostin said she saw “misogyny” and “sexism” in Spicer’s treatment of Ryan.
Whoopi Goldberg argued that Spicer had been equally dismissive of male reporters. Hostin agreed. Goldberg went on to say that Spicer’s real problem was his treatment toward the media.
Later in the day, Spicer and Ryan showed that they had moved past Tuesday’s actions:
