It’s true. Not only is McDonald’s bringing back it’s popular St. Patrick’s Day blend of milk, ice cream, and mint flavor, but the fast-food behemoth also intends to re-introduce its Oreo Shamrock McFlurry.

Granted, St. Patty’s Day isn’t until March 17, more than a month away. But want some more good news? McDonald’s will start rolling out the Shamrock Shakes and McFlurries on Feb. 24.

Shamrock Shakes Returns!

McDonald’s announced all this in a press release that likely has fans wishing that we could just skip Valentine’s Day and head straight to March.

“Made with our creamy vanilla soft serve, blended with Shamrock Shake syrup and topped with a delicious, whipped topping, the Shamrock Shake quickly captured the hearts (and tastebuds) of America when it was first introduced in 1970,” the release read.

Interestingly, that’s just when America was introduced. The Shamrock Shake was actually dreamed up three years before that, in 1967, by Hal Rosen, who owned a McDonald’s in Connecticut.

Its best pal, the Shamrock McFlurry, came along much later — being rolled nationwide in 2020. It took has garnered praise as a fitting companion, so it’s no surprise McDonald’s has decided to keep it.

So start your engines and get ready for late February. As is always the case, these will be available for a limited time only.
