Amid a national shoplifting crisis, video has been posted to TikTok of a theft that took place at the Sephora outlet in the Los Cerritos Center mall in Los Angeles around 9pm Saturday and was among several similar incidents reported there that night, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department told reporters.
The 47-second video shows three crooks wearing hoodies as they empty shelves and stuff cosmetics into black trash bags.
Truly is hard to find the exact, appropriate words to describe the scene.
Perhaps onlooker Jessica Ortiz says it best while watching in disbelief during the heist of the high-end makeup store.
“Oh my God. Oh my f–king God,” the woman said while capturing video of the incident on her cell phone. “F–king lowlifes.”
“I was just trying to pick out a concealer then heard a BANG,” Ortiz said in her video post to TikTok.
The video speaks for itself and says far more than we ever could.
It quickly went viral, racking up more than 1.4 million views by Monday evening, it is now close to 20M.
The unidentified criminals appear to have been two males and a female, leading one commenter to say, “Her confidence to do that while wearing slides….”
