UFC Champ Conor McGregor weighs in on Trump: “I don’t give a bollocks”

Last night Donald Trump made history in becoming the 45th President of the United States. His road to the White House was characterized by scandals, slip-ups and brash rhetoric. But for MMA fans, Trump is hardly the only person we’ve seen “talk his way into the position.” A few months ago, we watched an Irishman with a mildly impressive record by the name of Conor McGregor take the fighting world by storm and claim the UFC’s highest honor.

Even if you don’t like Trump or McGregor, you have to respect their confidence. They saunter through their press conferences with a swagger bespeaking invincibility.

In a recent interview with UFC, McGregor shared his thoughts on the election, and the nation’s new president.

“I couldn’t give a bollocks,” he said. “The whole thing is just weird to me.”

“I think, whoever wins, nothing’s gonna change.”

McGregor was in New York Tuesday night night along with both presidential candidates as he will be fighting Eddie Alvarez this weekend in NYC at UFC 205
