Fight Breaks Out at Dodger Stadium
According to TMZ, a brutal fight broke out in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Elton John’s three shows at the massive venue were among the most anticipated of his years-long farewell tour.
Making matters even worse — and especially uncharacteristic for an Elton John concert — one of the individuals involved in the fight allegedly called the victim a homophobic slur multiple times. Authorities stated the couple, both in their 60s, were brutally attacked at the Dodgers Stadium with several witnesses surrounding them. They were attacked by a group of four to six young concertgoers. The unconscious couple was tragically left on the ground by the time police arrived at the scene.
The video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the couple being punched and choked by the assailants. One can also see the husband lying on the ground as several men surround him and begin to punch him.
That’s when his wife jumps out of the car to help but was quickly body-slammed to the ground. She eventually regained consciousness and drove her husband to the hospital. According to witnesses, the assailants left the scene after the attack and currently remain at large.
‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,’ One Last Time
Sir Elton’s current Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour started in Allentown, Pennsylvania on September 8 … 2018. Originally intended to encompass three years, the stretch is encompassing more than 300 performances.
While obviously delayed by COVID, it appears Elton John might really be starting to wind down the seemingly endless tour.
He put back on the classic attire he wore to his breakthrough show on October 25, 1975, at Dodger Stadium, according to Entertainment Weekly. Decked out with sequins, his initials, and a baseball cap boasting the logo of L.A.’s hometown team, the robe is downright dazzling.
