Video Shows Two Men Stealing iPhones and iPads From Apple Store as People Just Watched

One Apple employee in Palo Alto, Calif., could do little beyond watch helplessly as shoplifters took what amounted to $35,000 in merchandise, a video revealed.

The robbers were young Black males in sweatpants and COVID face coverings. The video showed, and just ripped items off display shelves as customers and employees looked on.

“Just let ’em go,” the employee said as the shoplifters went about their business. They stole items in front of everyone, and seemingly not even caring that others in the store were recording them.

Police have yet to make any arrests, but suspect the shoplifters will eventually out themselves. Apple products come with identification codes that can be easily traced through use or if they are listed for sale.

Per Palo Alto Online:

“Both were Black males in their late teens or early 20s. According to the video, one was wearing a dark hoodie with a camouflage pattern and a hood with a shark head design, black pants with white athletic stripes, black and red shoes and a black backpack with white markings; the other was wearing a beige hoodie with faded blue jeans and white shoes and a carrying bright red backpack.”

Still, this is pretty wild to see how no one even attempted to stop them. Not even a single hand was lifted, despite there being at least 20 people in that store. I mean sure, it’s scary..but you think at least five men can go ahead and hold one of the robbers down. Right?
