An escalator must have been in a hurry to move fans from the arena Saturday when it malfunctioned, sending hockey lovers tumbling to the ground.
The escalator sped up after a Philadelphia Flyers game at the Wells Fargo Center. Video captured the scary scene.

Witnesses said they heard the escalator rev up, then it just went faster. The arena closed the moving stairs following the incident and began an investigation into what caused the malfunction.
The mishap occurred following the Flyers’ 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators in Philadelphia.

Amazingly, no one was injured.
