Livery cab driver Nathaneal Santana, 26, got into a dispute with a fellow cabbie over what he claimed was his territory at Terminal 5 at around 8 a.m. After the rival driver refused to back down, Santana went out to his car, grabbed a tire iron and re-entered the airport. He then smashed the victim in the back of the head and quickly drove off.

According to Port Authority police, an officer spotted him and tried to pull him over, but Santana kept driving. Police were finally able to stop him and found the tire iron on the floor of his car. He was then arrested and charged with assault, menacing, harassment and illegal weapons possession. This is not Santana’s first offense, however, as he was previously arrested in both November and January for harassment and assault, officials revealed.

The victim suffered a gash on his head and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for his cuts and bruises. A surveillance photo shows part of the alleged attack, as one man clearly chases another close to the baggage carousel.
