A now-former algebra teacher at Duncanville High School in Texas will spend the next 10 years of her life behind bars for conducting two-year sex affair with a student who has Asperger’s syndrome.

The teen’s mother, Sandy Washington, described with difficulty some of the details of what went down to KTVT-TV Washington. She said she almost suffered a stroke or a heart attack when her son told her that 35-year-old Elizabeth Ramsey had sex with him at school and at her house.

Washington also said “tutoring” was used an excuse by the teacher in notes explaining why she was spending so much time with her son.

On top of all of this, Ramsey allegedly taught the teen to buy weed, bake brownies and give them to other kids so he could build friendships.

“He finally had friends. And they weren’t true friends,” the mother said.

Washington said Ramsey treated her son “like a piece of trash” after her husband almost caught them in the act one day.

In 2015, Ramsey was charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship with a student. Last Friday, Ramsey pleaded guilty to the latter charge, which carries a 10-year prison sentence. That sentence started being served on Friday.
