According to police, the 14-year-old victim reported that she was walking in the school’s hallway around 9 a.m. when Montano and Sanchez ran into her and asked her to walk with them. Sanchez then allegedly asked her to have sex with him. When she denied his request, the boys reportedly forced her into a bathroom. The victim said Montano asked again, and she refused again. She claims the boys then sexually assaulted her.
Both Montano and Sanchez were charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual assault. They are also both being held without bond, and Montano is being charged as an adult.
“These are very serious allegations carrying a life sentence,” a spokesman for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office said. “The potential of life in prison would be available as we prosecute these individuals.”
