Gilberto Valle, the former NYPD cop who was convicted for plotting to cook and eat women, is back in the dating game after recently joining the online dating site Match.com.

Valle, who was released from jail earlier this summer after the judge concluded that his conspiracy to commit cannibalism was just a fantasy, operates under the name “AmicableOne14″ and is looking for a woman aged 24 to 32 who likes cooking, dining out, and wine tasting.

“You appreciate the simple things and can make the best out of a situation that is less than ideal,” he writes.

“You appreciate and laugh at bad jokes, you are outgoing and have a smile that can brighten up someone’s day. You can generally see the good in people and you are kind and generous.”

“You don’t drive less than the speed limit in the left lane, you don’t look down with your head buried in the phone while walking down a crowded city street, and you can put the phone away when you are on a date. If this is you, let’s get a cup of coffee.”

Despite his conspiracy charges being dropped, Valle’s charge for unlawfully accessing an NYPD database, which is how he gained information about women he allegedly planned on eating, was upheld.

Manhattan Federal Court Judge Paul Gardephe said that Valle “is not to use a computer, Internet-capable device or similar electronic device to access sexual fetish websites, including chat rooms, forums or other means by which users communicate with other individuals or groups about sexual fetishes … The defendant shall consent to the monitoring of his computer usage for this purpose.”

With this ruling, plus speculations that his profile is actually a fake, this whole thing may be a joke. It’s intriguing, nonetheless.
