Watch these fools steal a backhoe to rip an ATM from a bank’s wall — the lie they told about it was precious Screenshot/WFTV

Francisco Hernandez and Jesus Antonio Sanchez of Florida were allegedly the “masterminds” behind the plot to steal an ATM from a bank by ripping it out of a wall with a backhoe.

The 54- and 50-year-old allegedly stole the construction vehicle from a nearby site around midnight Friday and then drove it to a CenterState bank, tearing down walls as they went.

Raw surveillance footage, which you can see above, shows the destructive heist.

After tearing the money machine out of the wall, they loaded it onto a pickup truck and took off, but the police stopped them soon after.

Now get this: Hernandez and Sanchez said they had been gathering scrap metal and didn’t know where the ATM came from, the New York Daily News reported.

So, uh, they were charged with grand theft and are sitting in Polk County Jail.
