So here’s the thing about dolphins: they’re smart creatures that live in the water, so selfies on land are the last thing they need in life.
We hope this group of tourist humans enjoyed their selfies because one baby dolphin will never enjoy anything ever again.
Video out of Argentina showed humans removing the baby dolphin from its natural habitat and passing it around to take selfies.
The dolphin overheated and died.
Hernan Coria posted multiple photos of the incident on Facebook.
Even after the creature died, people continued passing it around, the New York Daily News reported, before ditching it in the sand.
There are only 30,000 Franciscana dolphins left in the world.
