The View host, Whoopi Golderg, had some powerful words to say about her co-hosts, saying they are the bravest women on TV. “The women of The View are the gutsiest women on TV,” Goldberg stated in an exclusive preview for the upcoming season. The daytime talk show is getting ready for Season 26, announcing two new co-hosts former, Trump White House staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

The new addition comes after Meghan McCain decided to exit the show. Navafro first guest co-hosted on The View back in 2013 and has since been a regular since 2018. The political strategist and commentator has also appeared on ABC News, CNN en Espanol, CNN, and Telemundo.

New Season of The View

“When you make the decision to be on TV, you need to know who you are, know what you believe in, and you need to be able to defend it with conviction because you’re going to be challenged,” she told PEOPLE. “The only way I know how to be is authentic.”

Griffen was previously Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary and assistant to former President Donal Trump. She has guest co-hosted The View a total of 29 times since last October.

“My background is pretty unique from other conservative hosts. I worked for one of the most, if not the most, divisive Presidents in history,” she noted. “I learned a lot from that. I walked away committed to the feeling in my bones that I want to be part of solutions, not add to the division.”

Both women will join Goldberg, Sunny Hosten Joy Behar, and Sara Haines. The View was originally created by famous broadcast journalist Barbara Walters. It has aired on ABC since August 11, 1997, as part of its daytime programming block. It has won 31 Daytime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Talk Show Host, Outstanding Talk Show, and Outstanding Informative Talk Show.
