Today show morning hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford have been entertaining us for nine years today. The occasion was celebrated Friday morning with Kathie Lee hosting and her guest co-host Regis Philbin.

While Hoda is at home with her new daughter, Haley Joy, Kathie Lee called her to mark the momentous anniversary and the call quickly took a turn for the emotional.
“I’ve never in my life felt the way I’m feeling right now,” Kotb said, expressing gratitude for her new life chapter.
“My life has changed so profoundly since I met you, profoundly. I told you think before, but I cannot believe the path my life took after our lives intersected. For every single day of the nine years,” she said breaking into tears. “I love you.”
Kathie Lee also started crying.

Meanwhile, Regis Philbin felt a little out of place during this intimate moment. “What am I doing here?” he jested.
“Hoda I love you with al my heart,” Kathie Lee said. “You’ve changed mine too, Hoda. Honestly…I love you and come home to us soon. And kiss the baby for us.”

Kotb has been home with her newly adopted daughter, Haley Joy, for the last few months. Just a few weeks ago, BFF Kathie Lee got to meet the new bundle of joy, and the moment was adorably shared on social media.

The baby’s name, Kotb explained she was inspired by Halley’s Comet, which can be seen from Earth every 75 or 76 years.
“It was one of those things. I just picture her sailing through the sky,” Kotb told Jenna Bush Hager and Kathie Lee Gifford after sharing the news of the adoption.
“She brings us joy,” Kotb said of her daughter’s middle name. “She’s got a beautiful way about her.”
