Maksim Chmerkovskiy is going to have to sit this one out.

The “Dancing with the Stars” pro has reportedly suffered an injury during rehersals that has left him sidelined for the week. The announcement was made on Monday’s episode of “Good Morning America.”
“It’s my calf muscle,” Chmerkovskiy said in rehearsal footage. “Fuck. It just feels like something hit it.”

He may not be in the competition this week but that doesn’t mean that Chmerkovskiy is going to miss out on cheering his partner, “Glee” alum Heather Morris on from the stands. A replacement for the pro has not yet been announced.
Morris has not publicly addressed her partner’s injury or plans for the March 27 performance. Chmerkovskiy did address the injury and encouraged fans to continue to cheer her one.
“Sorry I was MIA. Tune in to @dancingabc today and all will be explained. Tough show for #teamMaksimumHeat and @heatherrelizabethh would have to hold it down for both of us. Please show her your love and support while I work on getting my ass back to the ballroom. #DidNotSeeThisComing,” he wrote alongisde a photo of the pair hugging.
Last week, Morris and Chmerkovskiy kicked the season into high gear with a Viennese Waltz to “Make Something Beautiful” by Ben Rector. The performance earned the pair a 28 out of a possible 40 points.
