Donald Trump supporter and conservative Lauren Southern spoke up after she was temporarily banned from Facebook for 30 days for complaining that the moderator of an alt-right Facebook group called “Disdain for Plebs” had been banned over a post saying Donald Trump is “not anti Muslim. He is anti ISIS.”

According to Southern, her friend was banned because of this post.

Donald Trump is not anti Muslim. He is anti ISIS. What Trump is trying to say is that Homeland Security can not differentiate which Muslim is radical wanting to cause harm and which is a harmless refugee. This is why nothing gets done. We are too busy being politically correct. Who is willing to sacrifice their family’s safety for the sake of political correctness? Are you? #TRUMP2016.

The controversy comes after Facebook has had to respond to allegations of unfair treatment and suppression of conservative news sites, culminating with a meeting between founder Mark Zuckerberg and Chairman of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), who had sent Facebook a letter stating his concerns.

Facebook’s General Counsel Colin Stretch issued a lengthy response about Sen. Thune’s letter.

The gist of the response is that Facebook said there was no “systematic” suppression of conservative news, but the social media giant didn’t rule out “the possibility of isolated improper actions or unintentional bias in the implementation of our guidelines or policies.”

Southern’s removed posts were reposted by Facebook, but she called the move “damage control.”

Southern summarized the situation in the video below.

Southern said her account was restored in full and that Facebook sent her an email calling the 30-day ban an “error.”

And here we are just wondering what nickname Donald Trump has coined for Mark Zuckerberg.
