The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that the Department of Justice authorized President Joe Biden’s personal lawyers to search for classified materials in multiple locations without the FBI present.

Biden reportedly received special treatment in the investigation because the DOJ wanted to “avoid complicating later stages of the investigation” and because “Mr. Biden’s attorneys had quickly turned in a first batch of documents”.
Compared to the way the DOJ treated President Trump it is hard to come to the conclusion that the tenacity with which each case was pursued was not blatantly political in nature.

After Mr. Biden’s lawyers discovered documents marked as classified dating from his term as vice president at an office he used at a Washington-based think tank on Nov. 2, the Justice Department opened an inquiry into why and how they got there. Mr. Biden’s legal team prepared to search his other properties for any similar documents, and discussed with the Justice Department the prospect of having FBI agents present while Mr. Biden’s lawyers conducted the additional searches.
Instead, the two sides agreed that Mr. Biden’s personal attorneys would inspect the homes, notify the Justice Department as soon as they identified any other potentially classified records, and arrange for law-enforcement authorities to take them.

There is a multitude of issues with this situation.
Biden’s lawyers did not have security clearances. They were not legally allowed to see the documents they were entrusted to ‘turn in’.
Additionally, how can we be certain that the attorneys turned in all of the classified material that they “discovered”?
To not even have an FBI agent present during the search for classified material, left unattended and unguarded in various locations frequented by Biden is just inconceivable.
This is unfettered defiance of the rule of law. Keep in mind, we only know about this entire story because CBS News reported on it. The DOJ made no comment about this matter until they were quite literally forced to because of public scrutiny.
When the DOJ learned about Biden’s mishandling of classified material, did they obtain search warrants and surprise Biden in his home? Did they search the rooms of his family members as they did with President Trump in Mar-a-Lago?
The FBI and DOJ reportedly refused to comment on this specific matter.
