Donald Trump’s spokeswoman turned into a robot on live TV, and the Internet had a field day YouTube/Raw Story

Donald Trump’s senior press representative found herself on the receiving end of a slew of Twitter jokes Wednesday after a disastrous appearance on CNN.

Healy Baumgardner appeared in a segment with CNN host Carol Costello and The Blaze’s Amy Holmes. She was there to talk Trump but gave prepared, robotic answers. At one point, Holmes jumped in to answer a question that was meant for Baumgardner.

Costello tried to get Baumgardner to talk about why her boss said he would be willing to talk to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, but Baumgardner kept offering the same reply.

“Well, I think top line, Mr. Trump’s point is that he wants to keep an open dialog and repair relationships with world leaders,” Baumgardner replied.

Costello pressed Baumgardner on previous comments Trump made against the dictator. Baumgardner said she couldn’t speculate on that.

“Well, I’m not going to speculate on what he meant specifically by those points, but generally he wants to have an open dialog to repair relationships with leaders throughout the world,” Baumgardner added.

That’s when Holmes jumped in and answered for Baumgardner.

“I think Donald Trump was trying to project strength,” Holmes said. “He’s complimented Vladimir Putin in similar terms. […] I think what Donald Trump was trying to do was sort of sound like a strongman himself.”

At one point, you can hear Costello and Holmes slightly chuckle as Costello tries to move on during the interview.

The Internet pounced on Baumgardner’s responses, calling the whole exchange a “Saturday Night Live” skit.
