A Colombian immigrant could soon find herself becoming the new face of Donald Trump’s campaign. Myriam Witcher gleefully shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate during a stop in Las Vegas, Thursday. Witcher was in the audience, holding an issue of People magazine with Trump on the cover, when Trump asked her to come onstage. Witcher approached the microphone and professed her love for Trump, exclaiming, “I am Hispanic and I vote for Mr. Trump. We vote for Mr. Trump.”
The exchange was almost too perfect in light of Trump’s previous statements about immigrants and the efforts he’ll take to keep them out of the country if he’s elected. Trump acknowledged he’d never met Witcher before. He brought her to the stage after complaining about how his nose looked on the magazine’s cover.
