Rand Paul is dominating in endorsements

Endorsements may not always win elections, but they certainly don’t hurt.

Among the current 2016 GOP presidential candidates, Rand Paul has a sizable endorsement lead over his Republican rivals.

Grassroots activist group Youth For Rand Paul has reported the latest endorsement numbers for the Republican candidates who’ve officially announced and Paul is dominating.

The list includes current and former politicians, judges, academia, celebrities, commentators, activists, businesspeople, and international figures. The second number (in parentheses) are current and former politicians only.

1. Rand Paul: 58 (37)

2. Mike Huckabee: 7 (5)

3. Ted Cruz: 4 (1)

4. Marco Rubio: 3 (3)

5. Carly Fiorina: 3 (2)

6. Ben Carson: 1 (0)

While Paul has 6 times the amount of notable supporters compared to his closest competitor Mike Huckabee, Paul picked up 25 of these endorsements while campaigning in New Hampshire last week.
