Rare’s Matt Purple: Conservatives don’t have to vote for Trump just because he’s the nominee Daily Ledger/YouTube Screenshot

Appearing on One America’s Daily Ledger on Tuesday, Rare Politics Deputy Editor Matt Purple told host Graham Ledger that conservatives shouldn’t vote for Donald Trump simply because he’s the Republican nominee.

“This is somebody who we think is far too vulgar and far too obnoxious to get the Republican nomination, and conservatives should not tether themselves to him. It would be bad for their cause if they did,” Purple said.

Purple suggested that wayward conservatives might take a hard look at Gary Johnson, the likely Libertarian Party nominee.
