Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) thinks that President Obama dropped the ball by failing to mention two very key issues during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

In an appearance on Neil Cavuto’s Fox Business show, Cruz said that the president didn’t include “any reference to his illegal and unconstitutional executive amnesty” and “radical Islamic terrorism.”

When it comes to the issue of immigration, Cruz said “it’s pretty clear that the president realizes that the issue is a political loser for him.”

The Tea Party senator claimed that the exclusion of terrorism from Obama’s speech presents a much bigger problem.

“You cannot defeat terrorism with a president who’s unwilling to utter the words ‘radical islamic terrorism,'” he said.

Cruz also decried the alleged corruption of the Obama administration and called for change in leadership.

“I think what people are looking for in 2016 is leadership that will stand and fight for the hardworking men and women, and not give in to the culture of corruption in Washington,” he said.
