Joe Scarborough did not mince words about Donald Trump on his show Wednesday. The MSNBC “Morning Joe” host stopped barely short of calling Trump a flat-out racist for his recent comments on the judge handling his Trump University case.

“Hey Donald, guess what? I’m not gonna support you until you get your act together. You’re acting like a bush-league loser. You’re acting like a racist. You’re acting like a bigot,” Scarborough said.
Scarborough has called for Republicans to hold back their endorsements of Trump until he stops his racially-charged comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel. Just Tuesday, Trump released a lengthy statement on his website, in which he claims his comments have been “misconstrued” and notes that he does not plan to speak about the Trump University case anymore.
Still, Scarborough thinks Republicans needs to be more vocal against Trump. He even offered an outline of what they should say.
“This is called ‘art of the deal.’ I’m taking my deal off the table, Donald, until you come back to the table and get on the other side of the table and prove to me that you’re not a bigot and prove to me that you’re not gonna take my party down in the ditch,” Scarborough said.
Scarborough said Trump can no longer “use Hillary Clinton as a gun against [his] head.”
He also predicted Trump’s behavior could be politically fatal for other Republicans down the ticket.
“When is there going to be a Republican in Washington, D.C., who is going to make Donald Trump pay a price?” Scarborough asked.
Reaction to Scarborough’s call to action was pretty mixed on Twitter.
For his part, Trump didn’t address Scarborough’s comment but did take a shot at the show’s ratings.
