An Old Navy ad was released last week showing an interracial family. The tweet garnered some negative comments, calling the ad “absolutely disgusting.”

The backlash gained the attention of Jack McCain, the son of Senator John McCain. McCain, who is a Navy helicopter pilot, is married to Renee Swift McCain, who is a black woman, and an Air Force officer.

Calling out the “ignorant racists,” McCain posted a couple of tweets charging against those speaking out against the ad.
