Haley ran an extremely unsuccesful campaign for President in 2016, eventually endorsing Ted Cruz in the crowded GOP field.

The “Post and Courier” reports…

Cementing what has been in the works for months, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will formally announce she is running for president and will seek the Republican nomination for her party’s 2024 ticket, The Post and Courier has learned.

According to an invitation soon going out to her backers, Haley’s advertised “special announcement” will come Feb. 15 at the The Shed at the Charleston Visitor Center, a downtown gathering spot that could draw hundreds of supporters into the heart of the city’s tourism district.

The confirmation she is entering the race came Jan. 31 from a member of Haley’s inner circle.

Haley also served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations under President Trump from 2017-2018.

This reporter has been tipped off that Ron Desantis does indeed plan to run for President in 2024. With former President Trump already declared, the GOP field is becoming more populated as the election nears.

Ted Cruz is also reportedly weighing another run for President.

There is no doubt that the Republican Party now has more factions than ever before. A crowded primary field could bring on a whole new level of infighting.

Recent reports have suggested that Haley attempted to leverage her relationship with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to become VP back in 2016. That was revealed by Mike Pompeo.

Haley has recently criticized former President Trump. She claimed that the former President has ‘no future’.

Haley has a lot of nerve, considering that despite holding public office and esteemed positions, she failed to garner any support in her own Presidential bid.
