Rudy Giuliani Slap Footage Released, Felt Like ‘Someone Shot Me’

Rudy Giuliani just got slapped in the back by an on-duty ShopRite worker while campaigning for his son. A video published by New York Post shows the man, who has been tentatively identified as Daniel Gill, walking up behind Giuliani and slapping him in between his shoulder blades. “What’s up, scumbag,” said the worker.

Footage has been released although there’s no audio. Rudy Giuliani says the worker said, “You’re a fu**ing scumbag,” and a witness says that the worker said, “What’s up, scumbag.” It’s hard to tell exactly how hard the slap was. The video doesn’t make it look like it was much more than a tap or a touch, but Giuliani is pressing charges.

Story continues after video…

“Somebody Shot Me”

Rudy Giuliani told 77 WABC talk radio that he felt it was his duty to ensure that the worker be arrested. He said it felt like “somebody shot me,” and, “Luckily, I’m a 78-year-old who is in pretty good shape. If I wasn’t, I would have hit the ground and probably cracked my skull.”

He continued, “I say to myself, ‘You know something? I gotta get this guy arrested. I talk about ‘broken windows’ theory all the time. You can’t let the little things go… I’m like, ‘I’m gonna get this guy arrested as an example that you can’t do this. And I said, also, in New York, we don’t prosecute people anymore and one of the reasons I brought crime down is I didn’t ignore stuff like this.”

According to Giuliani, the worker was upset over the Supreme Court’s recent reversal of the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. The ex-mayor of New York City says that he followed up the “slap” with accusations that Giuliani was going to kill women.

“You guys think you’re saving babies, but you’re gonna kill women,” Giuliani says he heard.

The ShopRite worker was escorted to another room and is allegedly being charged with second-degree assault of a person over the age of 65. Rudy Giuliani is 78  years old.

Rudy Giuliani was campaigning for his son, Andrew Giuliani’s gubernatorial race and speaking with supporters in the grocery store when the “slap” occurred.

  1. This guy should be arrested you have no right touching anybody, you can’t Let this go arrest the S.O.B.

  2. It really doesn’t matter how hard he was hit/touched. You can’t put your hands on someone, ever. That’s the bottom line. Don’t touch someone regardless of the reasons you want to use.

  3. If he had actually punched Rudy in the mouth he’d get the same charge. Then again if Rudy had died maybe he could be charged with assault like the 1/6 rioters who “assaulted” Officer Brian Sicknick who later died.

  4. Maybe the guy can ask for a pardon, just like Rudy did on
Jan. 6 when the Trump dipshits were committing treasons
At The Capitol. Rudy will get thrown under the bus soon enough by Trump anyway !! What a joke he’s become .
