When asked at the end of the 11th GOP debate whether they would support frontrunner Donald Trump if he won the Republican nomination, the four other contenders all said they would.
Following a contentious two hour debate filled with name calling and questioning each other’s records, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and John Kasich said they would support Trump if he won the nomination.
Trump said he’d support any of the other candidates on stage, even though they “didn’t deserve it.”
Rubio said he’d back Trump because the Democrats are offering “a socialist” while “the other one is under FBI investigation.”
“Before it’s all said and done, I’ll be the nominee,” Kasich said in response to the question, later adding that he would indeed support Trump if he won the nomination though “sometimes he makes it a little bit hard.”
