‘The View’ Announces Its New “Conservative” Guest Panelist, Fans Are Not Impressed

Finally, we know the first guest co-host for ABC’s The View. But let’s just say the announcement was met with little fanfare.

And that’s the nice version.

The show has been planning for a while to bring in a string of guest hosts. First up: Former White House advisor Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked under ex-President Donald Trump.

Clearly, the show attempts to include, uh, views of both sides of the political aisle. But not everyone is open to hearing opposing political opinions. Or at least not the opinions of Griffin, who also offers conservative takes on CNN.

“Get someone better,” read one reply to The View on Twitter.

“Please no!” read another.

Yet another was even more harsh. “Oh no… ENOUGH already!!!!” it read.

Other than all that, Griffin appeared to be a smash hit.

OK, maybe not. But she is just there as a guest, as the show makes its return after an entire week off. But the conservative seat can be challenging on The View, and even Republicans wonder if Griffin is aggressive enough.

The list of past conservative co-hosts includes Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Meghan McCain and Condoleezza Rice.
