Playboy is teaming up with The Sandbox metaverse to create its mansion in the virtual world. That’s right, soon the Playboy MetaMansion will be an actual place—in the Metaverse—for partying.

The Sandbox’s official description of the Playboy MetaMansion says,:
“Playboy’s “MetaMansion” experience in The Sandbox will feature gaming, social play, programmed events and ongoing digital collectibles releases that leverage Playboy’s vast content library, incorporate Playboy’s talent and influencer network, and bring Playboy’s coveted fashion styles and must-attend live experiences into the metaverse.”
The Sandbox (SAND) is a blockchain-based virtual world that runs on the Ethereum blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Basically, this means that you can own assets in the Metaverse. Those assets translate to real world cash, even if the Metaverse were to break down.
Commonly known as “the sandbox game,” SAND is one of the largest Metaverses. And yes, now it will have a Playboy Mansion.
Playboy’s Chief Brand and Strategy Officer, Rachel Webber, said of the MetaMansion:
“We’re thrilled to work with The Sandbox and its best-in-class design and development team to build a premium, customized Playboy gaming and social experience in the metaverse. We can’t wait to invite our global Playboy fanbase, and in particular our Rabbitar community and The Sandbox LAND owners, into this new immersive world of Playboy.”
