Columnist and author Mary Katharine Ham has been featured in various mediums across the board. She has written for The Daily Caller and The Weekly Standard, and was also a Fox News Channel contributor. Ham has also appeared regularly on “The O’Reilly Factor.” She currently works for The Federalist, and is a contributor at CNN.

And in 2015, Ham added a newer, larger clip to her portfolio: A published book, “End of Discussion: How the left’s outrage industry shuts down debate, manipulates voters, and makes America less free (and fun)” with coauthor Guy Benson.

At 35, the rising conservative star experienced a horrible tragedy, the loss of her husband, an Obama White House staffer, named Jake Brewer. The Washington Post profile on the couple used the headline, “She was a conservative pundit. He was a liberal activist. At home, none of that mattered.”

“One of the things that makes me feel better is telling his story,” Ham said in an interview with Rare months after Brewer passed. “When something hits you over the head in life that makes no sense whatsoever […] you want to make sense of it.”

In December 2015, Ham gave birth to her second daughter, Garnet J. Brewer. Garnet’s middle initial is for her dad, Jake.
