George Kittle is a beacon of strength and skill. The tight end for the San Francisco 49ers had a swift rise to fame after he was drafted in 2017. But, like many of his peers, his transition from college football to pro wasn’t a solo undertaking. Meet Claire Kittle, the supporting and athletic wife of one of the most popular NFL players right now.

George Kittle Was Practically Born With a Football — and a Wildcard — in His Hands

George Kittle was born October 9, 1993, in Madison, Wisconsin. The 10 lb 10 oz baby grew up to be a 250 lb, 6’4” megalith of a man — perfect for a football player. His parents relocated to Iowa when he was a child, where he graduated from Norman High School. Following in his father Bruce’s footsteps, he committed to the University of Iowa’s football team.

Kittle was swept up by the San Francisco 49ers immediately after college. In his 6th season, the tight end has already had 395 receptions, 5,254 receiving yards, and 31 receiving touchdowns. In his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seasons, Kittle made it onto the NFL’s Top 100 Players list. Unfortunately, 2022 was a bit marred with a groin injury. But he’s come back strong and is part of the 2023 Pro Bowl roster. He’s also 7th in the top 10 NFL players who sell the most merchandise.

Claire Is a Fitness Model and Travel Blogger

Claire Kittle was born Claire Colette Till, in 1994 in Dubuque, Iowa. After graduating from Wahlert High School, she enrolled at the University of Iowa to study health and human physiology. Like George, Claire is tall and athletic. She excelled at track and basketball and played for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team through her 2016 graduation. Claire also represented the Fuel Up to Play 60 initiative during her time at UI.

Claire was recruited as a fitness model with San Francisco-based JE Model Management after graduating college. She currently works as a travel and lifestyle blogger and has a website called Lettey Set Go. Between her blog and her Instagram, Claire keeps fans up to date with her newest looks, cool travel spots, and most importantly, 49ers’ life.

George and Claire Became Mr. and Mrs. Kittle After a Series of Unconventional Moments

George Kittle met his future Mrs at the University of Iowa in 2012. According to ESPN, George saw Claire riding her moped and he made a comment about her “nice [pink] helmet.” They were dating within months and engaged in 2018.

George told 95.7 The Game that he pulled a prank on Claire when he proposed to her.

“I’m not going to brag but I think I killed it. I’m not going to lie,” he said in the interview. “I convinced [Claire] that the 49ers were doing a photo shoot for girlfriends and boyfriends, husbands, and wives that they were going to put in the brochures and on the website.

“So, I had our head photographer and two of our head video guys basically do a fake photo shoot down on the Santa Cruz beach, and so she basically had no idea.

“We were doing a whole photo shoot on the beach; cameras, we had a drone down there, lighting, everything that you possibly need.

“Got her a little bit distracted and then cut to the pop the question.”

Awww.

The couple initially planned on a large wedding in 2020, but George made an impromptu suggestion to tie the knot sooner and in the company of only 7 other people. Incidentally, he’d just gotten a tattoo of the Joker on his arm, so his arm was wrapped in saran wrap when they said their vows.

“I don’t try to channel all the Joker, obviously, because he has some issues,” Kittle divulged to ESPN. “Creating a little bit of chaos is just kind of what I try to do. I’m just trying to be the most outgoing, craziest person on the field.”

“He’s so goofy,” Claire said. “At first, I thought he was joking — he has a lot of ideas that are out there, and he doesn’t actually go through with them. So, at first, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s the worst idea you’ve ever had. I hate that.’

“But then after he had explained to me all of the meaning behind it and then seeing it in person, it’s actually really cool. So, I do really like it now. That’s just George.”

George’s dad, Bruce Kittle, is an ordained minister and married the couple inside an Iowa City jewelry store owned by family friends.

The rest is history in the making. George and Claire Kittle are obviously madly in love and constantly doting on each other over social media. Claire is at all of his games, holding it down on the sidelines —and sometimes shot-gunning beers in the suite.
