Rob Gronkowski Answers Question About His Playing Future, Kind Of

Future Pro Football Hall of Famer and four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski took over the Encore Beach Club at the Wynn in Las Vegas this past weekend for his own personal music festival, the “Gronk Beach” bash.

He was the host and master of ceremonies, and the place was packed.

Gronk told TMZ Sports he hasn’t decided if he’s going to return to the NFL for his 12th season, but he’s not ruling it out.

“We’ll see,” Gronk said. “I’m staying in shape a little bit. So, we’ll see if I don’t get too out of shape either. That won’t be good for me.”

“Gronk Beach may be the party that gets me back to football,” he said with a smile. “Someone’s going to throw me a pass on stage, I’ll probably catch it, and be like, ‘Man, I miss football.’”

He has previously said that if he returns to play another year, it’ll only be with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and his buddy Tom Brady.  Gronk played nine seasons in New England and the past two in Tampa.

Gronkowski is arguably the best tight end in NFL history.  He’s a five-time Pro Bowl selection, a four-time First Team All-Pro selection, and he was selected to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.  He’s the only tight end in NFL history to lead the league in touchdown receptions for a full season (17 in 2011).

He was selected by the Patriots with the 42nd pick of the 2010 NFL Draft after playing collegiately at the University of Arizona.

Over the weekend, he appeared in a Sports Illustrated video and made a comment that gave Buc fans some hope.

“If Julian [Edelman] signs with the Bucs right now, I’m coming back,” Gronk said in the video.  Gronk and Edelman are friends, and they played together in New England.

Speculation is that Gronk doesn’t like training camp and will likely return to the Bucs in late August.
