Retired adult film actress and popular social media star Mia Khalifa recently spoke with Arcadia about her image. Khalifa told Arcadia about the difficulties of dealing with the opinions of people who don’t really know who she is.

During the interview, Khalifa said, “People who don’t know anything about me just think that I’m this raging, horny porn star. People who do know about me… know the things that I’ve been through, how I feel about the industry, the person who I’ve grown into, the lessons I’ve learned along the way.”
Mia Khalifa’s Post-Adult Film Career
Khalifa retired from the adult film industry after just a three-month stint, stating that it was “the worst time” of her life. Later in the Arcadia interview, Khalifa stated, “So when someone comes up to me and says ‘Oh god, you’re my favorite porn star’, it’s not a compliment, I don’t take it well and that can surprise them. I feel like I have a responsibility, the things that I post about give me a visceral reaction in my gut. If I have an opinion, I’m going to talk about it.”
Khalifa now has a very successful career as a social media star, raking in millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. Kahlifia has also been very active about speaking out on the hardships of her adult film career, telling Emily Ratajkowski that the age to “own your production rights” should be 21 instead of 18, while a guest on Ratajkowski’s podcast.
Kahlifia’s Twitter presence is grand, with the former adult film actress informing her followers that she actually has a burner Twitter account that she uses to “cyber-bully” her haters. Some of her fans online are enamored by the claim, with one Twitter user commenting, “Mia you never fail to be more iconic,” with another stating, “I’m not mad at it.”
