It’s one thing to have an OnlyFans account. It’s quite another to try to use pancakes to sell yourself.

Welcome to the case involving online model Candylion and IHOP, in which the restaurant chain claims involved a dose of copyright infringement.

Now, what was IHOP doing on Candylion’s OnlyFans page? That is the question.

But the bigger question is why Candylion was sporting a goth-looking apron that adorned an IHOP-looking logo — and has decided to sell the said IHOP-looking attire to boot.

In the world of business, that’s a no-no. Not unless IHOP agrees to it, and of course, rakes in some of the sales.

None of that is the case, leading IHOP to file a copyright infringement claim.

IHOP Says NO!

Candylion shared the claim on Twitter, calling it “the funniest copyright strike” she’s received. That leads you to believe she has received several. But let’s face it, there is nothing funny about her using someone else’s logo to profit.

That’s serious business, and just business as America knows it. If you want to sell merchandise, you need to come up with your own brand. That’s just the way it works.

Imagine if everyone started selling Candylion’s OnlyFans material and kept all the profits. She may have a different take, no?

Copyright Strike

And it’s more than just an apron that she’s made available. She also has other merchandise with the logo, and even an Etsy account to promote and sell it. So maybe Etsy is where IHOP became aware of it.

Despite all of the fuss, Candylion has continued to sell the merchandise. But you may want to act now if you have an interest. Some court somewhere is highly likely to put an end to all of it, and soon.

“So I hit 2 crazy milestones recently … 500k followers here,” she wrote on Instagram, “and being threatened legally by the International House of Pancakes. I really do feel like this is my peak.”

And she may be right about that.
