Carrie Underwood may be a big time country music artist, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t consider being an extra on a television show.

That is – if it meant that she could star as a zombie.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, Carrie appeared on “Today,” and once again confessed that she’s a huge fan of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” She also revealed that her dream role is to play a zombie on the popular program – mainly because she would like to say, “I was there!”

Carrie actually crossed paths with one of the actors from “The Walking Dead” at the 74th annual Golden Globes Awards. The “Dirty Laundry” singer met Jeffery Dean Morgan, who plays a villainous character named Negan on the television drama. However, her brief encounter with Jeffery didn’t turn out the way she had hoped. In fact, she said it was “awkward.”

“He was so nice,” Carrie explained, “We’re all dressed up… He was like, ‘You look beautiful.’ And I was like, ‘Thank you so much. You look like Negan.’ That’s all that could come out of my mouth.”

Carrie also added that she quickly scurried away following the exchange.

“It was so busy, and we had to do a script read through and so I kind of ran away.” said Carrie, “So, I called him Negan and I ran away. It was kind of awkward.”
