While this side item can be pricey in restaurants, it’s also deliciously easy to make at home. This soup recipe from Wholesome Yum only has five basic ingredients!

You will need:

  • 4 cups broccoli, cut in florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3½ cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Tip: Use bagged, pre-shredded cheese, as it’s less likely to clump. If you prefer to shred the cheese yourself, throw a little cornstarch into the soup pot to keep the pieces from sticking together.
