Longing for a little ranch dressing with your ice cream? Or how about just some ranch-flavored ice cream — allowing you to just skip the step of pouring out of the bottle.

Sound disgusting? Yeah, it really does.
But Hidden Valley is releasing Ranch Ice Cream at Walmart, anyway.
Yuck, yuck, and double yuck, you may be saying. Again, we concur.
Anyway, the story goes like this: Hidden Valley collaborated with Brooklyn-based ice cream parlor Van Leeuwen to form the ranch-flavored frozen stuff (with an emphasis on stuff). It will be available at Walmart for just a limited time — March 20 to March 28.
That is likely longer than most people could stomach the idea.
Yeah, It’s a No From Us
Yes, the ice cream tastes like ranch. It has that onion smell for starters, according to People. That said, it’s actually not gross, People added.
Of course, the outlet also seemed to strongly advise eating it with pretzels. You know, just the sort of thing you would dip in ranch dressing.
As for Hidden Valley Van Leeuwen, well, they clearly expect it to be a hit.
“We’re so excited to debut this new series of flavors and unveil what is possibly our most surprising ice cream yet,” said Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. “We have done some creative collaborations and can’t wait for Walmart shoppers to try this new and exciting flavor along with our other Spring specials.”
They too suggested adding salty snacks to the offering.
“We know that Hidden Valley Ranch goes with just about everything — pizza, carrots, French fries — but ice cream is a first for us,” added Rachel Garrison, associate director at Hidden Valley Ranch. “Insider tip? Top your scoops with crushed pretzels or potato chips for a perfect salty crunch.”
This is just the first of funky flavors coming to Walmart via the Van Leeuwen team.
Pretty soon, they also will be offering the following flavors — sweet maple cornbread, blood orange chocolate chip, carrot cake, strawberry shortcake, honey graham cracker and limoncello cake, among others.
So go ahead. Give it a try. You just may want to plug your nose first.
