This beautiful song reminds us that God sees us differently than we see ourselves

Who do you see in the mirror? Is the person you see the same person God sees?

Our self-worth often depends upon how we perceive ourselves. We allow our value to be dictated by what we can and can’t do and what we have and have not done.

What if we stopped seeing ourselves through our eyes and started seeing ourselves as God sees us?

Christian singer and songwriter Jason Gray sings about seeing ourselves as God sees us in his song “Remind Me Who I Am.” This heartfelt song begs God to “remind” us who we are to Him.

When I lose my way,
And I forget my name,
Remind me who I am.
In the mirror all I see,
Is who I don’t wanna be,
Remind me who I am.
In the loneliest places,
When I can’t remember what grace is.

Tell me once again who I am to You,
Who I am to You.
Tell me lest I forget who I am to You,
That I belong to You.
To You.

When my heart is like a stone,
And I’m running far from home,
Remind me who I am.
When I can’t receive Your love,
Afraid I’ll never be enough,
Remind me who I am.
If I’m Your beloved,
Can You help me believe it.

Are you ready to start seeing yourself as God sees you?

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14 NIV).
