Britney Spears Rips Mother: ‘You Abused Me’

Spears and her family have seemingly been at odds for years.

Britney vs. Spears is raging on long after the popular Netflix documentary. Only now, it involves Britney Spears’ mother, too.

Spears torched mom Lynne Spears in a recent Instagram post, a result of Lynne sharing receipts of her texting back Britney, after Britney said Lynne never texted her back.

“Yo ma did you also let people know that’s one of the only times you text me back ???” the pop star, 40, wrote.

“Did you also tell people how you hid coffee every single morning ??? Did you tell them every morning when I would try to find coffee there were no pictures of me up in the kitchen, just Maddie and Jamie Lynn ??? Every single morning I would put a picture of me by you guys … and every morning you would put it away before I woke up!!!”

Spears, 40, didn’t stop here. She made several other accusations, while referring to Lynne, 67, as a “joke.”

“Did you tell them when the conservatorship first started you and [my brother] Bryan’s wife went out every night and drank wine and got your stupid pictures taken when I couldn’t go anywhere or have my boyfriend anymore???” Britney continued.

The Spears’ story continues to play out.

There’s more. Per the New York Post:

“The Sometimes singer explained that the night before she was hospitalized on an involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008, she had a ‘sleepover’ with her mom and friends, only to discover that the group allegedly had it ‘all planned’ while Lynne ‘acted like [she] had no idea what was going on !!!'”

All of this, of course, follows Britney’s lengthy battle with her father, Jamie, after she was placed under a court-ordered conservatorship by Jamie in 2008. It ran until 2021, so Jamie had acted as her sole conservator for nearly 13 years.

In other words, with Lynne now being called out, it is safe to say Britney’s relationship with her parents remains fairly, uh, toxic.
