On Saturday, Carey took to his Twitter account to criticize the anonymous culprits of the prank, and pledged $10,000 in reward money to find out who committed the prank.
“If the Bay Village PD wants to start a reward fund to find who did this, contact me. I’ll donate $10k,” Carey wrote.
The young boy on the receiving end of the cruel prank has not yet been publicly identified, while his case has received national attention.
On Friday night, the boy’s school, Bay Village High School, organized a support vigil prior to the evening’s football game.
