The document appeared online Monday courtesy of TMZ. It reveals that the intimate ceremony took place at the well-known Little White Wedding Chapel on the Las Vegas Strip. The marriage certificate also indicates that Jennifer Lopez is taking Ben Affleck’s last name and wants to be called Jennifer Affleck.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding was indiscreet.

“It was super, super small. They just wanted to be married so they got married,” People quoted a source as saying at the time

Affleck 52, and Lopez, 49, were originally engaged in April. That happened 18 years after they were in a relationship, then broke up.

“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things,” Lopez told People in February.

Affleck has three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Lopez has twins with former husband Marc Anthony — Emme and Max, 14.

“It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way,” Lopez told People. “At this time in our lives, where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other.

“We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions,” Lopez said about herself and Ben Affleck.

She continued: “We really live our lives in a way we can be proud of; and our kids can be proud of you. We’re just operating from a place of love and respect for everyone in our lives and that is very important to us. We know what the truth is [and] we hold it sacred.”
