For the past 20 years, Lee Van Horn has created roughly 40 snow sculptures in his front yard on Brightway Street in Weirton.
His creations have included everything from popular cartoon characters to a Super Bowl-inspired piece from the year when the Pittsburgh Steelers played the Green Bay Packers.
Van Horn said he uses his bare hands to create each snow sculpture.
His most popular creation has been one inspired by the Disney movie “Frozen.” Van Horn said it took him four hours to create Olaf, five hours for Anna and another four to make Elsa.
Van Horn said the “Frozen” characters have been his most popular, with around 100 people stopping by his house to take pictures.
Though most of his sculptures last only a day, Van Horn said he’s had one last up to a week.
With a winter storm headed his way this weekend, it’s likely that there will be enough snowfall by Monday for Van Horn to create yet another masterpiece.
