The internet and late-night hosts have been constantly talking about Donald Trump’s unorthodox handshake routine; it’s been both lambasted and praised. When the president shakes hands with somebody, he sort of jerks the other person into him and forcefully wrenches that person’s hand.

Last week, during his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the president seemed to hold Abe’s hand for 19 seconds.

The Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Columbus decided to make a video showing how to defend against the Donald Trump handshake.
The black belt in the video explains, “As I’m scrolling through my Facebook feed, I see this video and it hits me — I’ve got to teach the defense to the Donald Trump handshake.” He suggests going with the “pull-in” and maneuvering into a wrist lock.
The instructor finishes the video by promising to the Secret Service that “if I meet the president, I probably won’t wrist lock him.”
