More specifically, it’s now made the list of Guinness World Records. It’s the only day that’s made it. And that’s for no other reason than Monday is a bummer.

No, seriously. Whoever manages the Guinness Twitter handle made the announcement official — Monday is now historically lousy.

“We’re officially giving monday the record of the worst day of the week,” the tweet read, and that was it.

Perhaps because we already knew it.

This prompted a response from the Angry Birds Twitter handle, which commented, “Took you long enough.”

Yeah, seriously. We’ve known about Monday for hundreds of years. It’s just that now, it’s official. It officially blows.

You know it, we know it, and now Guinness World Records has finally made note of it.

So next time you gripe about Monday, know you’re not alone. In fact, it appears that you are just keeping the new world record alive and well.

Honestly, no one is going to complain about this. We all know everyone basically hates Monday’s, so yeah this seems like an appropriate thing to declare. Twitter also agreed with us on this, with several followers poking fun at the situation.

“So how can we make it better? We need actions! Probably cancel it?,” one user stated. “What about Wednesday? It sounds weird,” another one shared.

Fun Fact, did you know that the Guinness World Records has sold more than a whopping 143 copies! It has also spread across 100 counties and is published in 22 languages. The annual book was originally published on August 27, 1955.
