The Tonight Show sketch could have just as easily come from SNL, as it reminded viewers of the “cold-open” style of the first sketch of the evening on the show.
With an orange wig in tow, Fallon put on a pitch-perfect impersonation of Trump, zeroing in on the Republican presidential candidate’s recent feud with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
Throughout the clip, Fallon’s Trump gave a variety of examples of times that he was misunderstood, including what he claimed happen during a recent fiasco with Megyn Kelly.
“Or when I said me and Gary Busey like to do it doggy style, I just meant that sometimes I’ll toss a Frisbee and he’ll catch it in his mouth like a dog,” Fallon joked.
“What else could that possibly mean?”
